It’s that time of year again when Operation Christmas Child is in full swing. Operation Christmas Child provides Christmas gifts and a 12-week discipleship program to children around the world, who may not receive such a gift. These gifts could be the first time a child receives a gift and/or is exposed to Jesus, making the impact all that more important. Saints Peter and Paul has been participating in this project each year, with Sam and Denise Coates leading the way.

We are only a few days away from the project wrapping up and we are asking for your help. Each year that we have participated in this project we have set a goal to strive for. This year our goal is to fill 275 boxes and collect $2,750 to offset the cost of shipping.

All boxes and donations need to be returned to the church by Sunday, November 17. That’s this coming Sunday!

To participate you can grab a box from the display table in the Narthex or buy a 6-quart plastic shoebox to fill. The boxes can be filled with items including school supplies, t-shirts, socks, wool hats, hygiene items, fun toys, etc. We ask that you do not include food items, used or damaged items, toy guns, knives or military figures, anything that contains a liquid, medication or vitamins, breakable items or aerosol cans.

In addition to the donated box, we would graciously ask for your willingness in donating $9 per shoebox, which helps to offset the costs of shipping. All proceeds and items go straight to this wonderful program and make it possible for it to continue for future years. We appreciate your support and prayers in making this project a success.
