Maybe you’ve heard us talking about the Red Letter Challenge over the last month? Perhaps you’ve even pre-ordered your book.

Awesome!

But, why are we doing this?

Because – I believe that if all of us open up the Bible, daily, for these 40 days of Lent and actually, realistically, put the words of Jesus into practice that our lives will change, the lives of those around us will be changed, and our church will be changed. And, all for the better.

For some of you, maybe this won’t be a big deal. Perhaps you already, habitually, read the Bible every day. Excellent! That, in itself, is already fantastic! Now, you will also be given daily challenges to do something with that Word.

For some of you, this is going to be a challenge. It’s going to be something new. That’s awesome. I am so glad you are going to give it a try. We’re in this together.

Starting next week, I’m going to be sending you daily emails with encouragement, and with my own reflections so that we can mutually learn and grow together as disciples of Jesus Christ!

Here are ways to stay engaged:

  1. Attend worship every Sunday, starting March 3rd.
  2. Read the daily readings from the RLC book and do the daily challenge.
  3. Attend Sunday morning Bible class @10am, starting March 3rd. During this time we will utilize the RLC Small Group study materials and will have small group discussions around tables (it will not be a “lecture” format).
  4. Attend Wednesday evening Lent worship at 7pm, starting March 6th. We will reflect on the theme of the day for each Wednesday from the RLC book.
  5. Talk about the RLC with other people that are also doing it.
  6. Talk about the RLC with someone who is not doing it.
