The beginning of our Lent sermon series will start on March 3rd with Ash Wednesday being March 6th.
This Lent, we will be walking through a 40 day study called The Red Letter Challenge. This will include sermons, small group studies, Wednesday evening conversations, and individual, daily challenges. Needless to say, we will be fully-immersed in this Red Letter Challenge as a church!
Why “Red Letter” you ask? Well, have you ever had one of those Bibles that put the words of Jesus in red letters? That’s why. This is a 40 day challenge that teaches us how to put those red letters of Jesus into daily, habitual practice.
To best participate in this study, we are encouraging every worshiper to purchase a book for $5. I’d encourage at least Jr. and Sr. high schoolers to pick one up as well. The book is a daily devotional with a Bible reading, a thought, and a daily, attainable challenge to do. It’s a workbook, so there is space for writing notes as well. Couples may be able to share one, but it may be best for each individual to have a copy. We will have books for pre-order on 2/10 and 2/17 for in-person pickup starting 2/24 and available on 3/3.
Each book is $5, but if you’d like to make an additional contribution to offset the cost for someone who might not be able to afford it, you can make that gift at the book sale table.
