Are you feeling anxious about anything today?

Turkey still frozen? House is dirty? Haven’t seen a deer yet?

You’re sick? A loved one is dying? Your job is so busy you won’t get a nice break this week?

I hope you join us for our Thanksgiving Eve worship service this evening @7pm.

We will focus on these words from the Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:4-7.

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

I love these words. I love the picture they paint for us. I love how they make me take deep breathe of resolution.

God is near us.

We don’t need to be anxious about ANYTHING. (How many of you feel more anxious right now than you did at this same time last year?)

Instead of being anxious, we can – with Thanksgiving – through prayer – give EVERYTHING (all worry, fear, anxiety, stress) to God!

And then His peace – the peace that goes beyond understand – His peace will guard our hearts and minds. In Jesus Christ.

This is my Thanksgiving prayer for you!!

Have a blessed time giving thanks to the one to whom all thanks is owed!

Alive in Christ!

Pastor Aaron
