Meet Sarah Kempin, our Concordia Student Ministries (CSM) Social Media Chair. She grew up in Midland, MI and is in her second year at MTU as she pursues a Chemical Engineering degree.
As a pastor’s kid, she has spent the majority of her life in the church. Since coming to Saints Peter and Paul, she’s been able to continue to grow in her faith with a group of strong individuals through CSM. This is the first time that she’s attended a public institution, so it has been a great opportunity for her to be a witness of Christ to those around her, and she looks forward to the years to come!
In addition to this, Sarah loves playing the flute, where you may have seen her using this gift during our 8:30 service. She also led our hand bells this past Christmas too.
Make sure to say hi and introduce yourself to her this Sunday!
Hey Marcus 2 things….
First it was “neat” to see your HS class at the voters’ assembly on Sunday. The nuts and bolts of a church … kids need to know that reality. Thanks! Second I’m enjoying “ meeting” the Concordia house students. I’m so thankful to be in a church with college kids!!! ThNks for all you are doing! Dala
Thank you Dala! It may not have been the most interesting thing for a young adult, but this is their church and like you said, it’s good to know some of the nuts and bolts. Excitingly, each youth present, or their family, was featured in the 2018 Ministry Recap video too! Our young adults (High Schoolers and College Students) are a strong and huge presence here and I am thankful for all of them too!
