TO ALL VISITORS ATTENDING WORSHIP THIS MORNING: We are thankful that you are worshiping our Lord and Savior Jesus with us. Part of worshiping our Lord is bringing our financial gifts in the form of offerings to support the ministry of Christ’s church. As our guest today, please do not feel obligated to give an offering. We are just thankful that you are here and hope you will continue to worship with us. Want to give your offerings online? Go to www.copperluth.org/give.
HOLY COMMUNION: In preparation to receive the Lord’s Supper, please ask yourself these questions: Have I confessed and repented of my sins? Do I believe that in this Sacrament I am receiving the actual body and blood of Christ, under the bread and wine, into my mouth, for the forgiveness of my sins? Do I share the confession and wish to participate in the unity of this congregation? Will I, with the Lord’s help, amend my sinful life? If you answer, “yes” to all of these questions, please join us for this blessed gift from God for our forgiveness.
If you need a gluten free wafer, please ask the pastor when you are kneeling at the rail.

Church Communications Updates
Make sure to stay up to date with all that’s going on here!
- Wednesday Morning Weekly Update Email
If you’re not receiving this, please email email@example.com to be added to the list. Or, check your spam folder in your email.
- Church App for mobile phones and tablets (Apple, Android, Windows, Amazon) Go to the app store on your device and search for “Saints Peter and Paul” and you’ll see it.
Take home some toys and books! The Early Learning Center is moving into its new rooms this summer; but first, we need to remove some of the toys and books which are not developmentally appropriate. There are also some extra cupboards and shelving available. Here’s where you come in: the last two weeks of July, you are invited to walk through the rooms and take home anything you like. Donations will be accepted, but are not required or expected.
Looking for a Truck: We are looking for a used, but decent plow truck for the church. Ideally it would be 3/4 ton with a V plow. If you or someone you know is looking to sell one, please let me know. firstname.lastname@example.org.
SENIOR SAINTS – will have its annual summer picnic on Thursday, August 16, starting at noon at the home of Pastor & Dorothy Paul. Meat (pork loin roasts on the grill) and drinks will be provided. The rest is a dish to pass, i.e. salads, fruit, rolls, desserts. There is a signup sheet on the table in the Narthex for planning purposes. To help with seating, it is suggested you bring lawn chairs. Your own table service is helpful, too, but there will be paper products should you forget.
Because of the damage done to the bridge at Schlotz Creek during the Father’s Day flood on June 17, you cannot drive straight to Red Brick Road on the Houghton Canal Road. You will have to detour by turning left off Canal Road onto Liminga Road, at Schmidt’s Corners. Drive to North Superior Road, turn right and follow that road through its twists and turns until you get back to Canal Road. Then drive to Red Brick Road, where you will turn left, and go to the Paul’s residence, which is on the left, house #52802, just past the Marsden Nature Center. There are maps on the signup table for your use.
Our regular season will start on Thursday, September 27. Watch for details in upcoming bulletins and e-mails. All seniors, 55 and over, are invited to join us at our various get-togethers, most of which are on the fourth Thursday of the month, starting at noon with a meal, followed by a program of some kind. Contact John or Jean Pemberton (487-9412), if questions or for further information.
