TO ALL VISITORS ATTENDING WORSHIP THIS MORNING:  We are thankful that you are worshiping our Lord and Savior Jesus with us.  Part of worshiping our Lord is bringing our financial gifts in the form of offerings to support the ministry of Christ’s church.  As our guest today, please do not feel obligated to give an offering.  We are just thankful that you are here and hope you will continue to worship with us. Want to give your offerings online? Go to www.copperluth.org/give.

HOLY COMMUNION: In preparation to receive the Lord’s Supper, please ask yourself these questions: Have I confessed and repented of my sins? Do I believe that in this Sacrament I am receiving the actual body and blood of Christ, under the bread and wine, into my mouth, for the forgiveness of my sins? Do I share the confession and wish to participate in the unity of this congregation? Will I, with the Lord’s help, amend my sinful life? If you answer, “yes” to all of these questions, please join us for this blessed gift from God for our forgiveness.

If you need a gluten free wafer, please ask the pastor when you are kneeling at the rail.

Church Communications Updates

Make sure to stay up to date with all that’s going on here!

  • Wednesday Morning Weekly Update Email

If you’re not receiving this, please email secretary@copperluth.org to be added to the list. Or, check your spam folder in your email.

  • Church App for mobile phones and tablets (Apple, Android, Windows, Amazon) Go to the app store on your device and search for “Saints Peter and Paul” and you’ll see it.

BAPTISM of Lyla Rose Anderson, daughter of Drake & Madeline Anderson will take place this morning at the late service.  Sponsors for Lyla are Sean Williams, Ashley Williams and Luke Paul.  We rejoice with the family as Lyla is welcomed into God’s Kingdom through this sacrament.

THANK YOU: I would like to thank all of the kind people who came to my rescue after the flash flooding of June 16/17. I appreciate your efforts more than I can express because I could never have removed all that stuff from my basement alone. Even more than that, it was evidence of how our church works in times of trouble. Maybe even more, it made me feel that I was not alone. So thanks to all of you and may you be richly blessed for your kindness. Lynn Lanala

WELL WISHES: Melanie Mattila is seeking treatment for stomach cancer in Florida.  If you would like to send cards, her address is: 6701 Sandwater Trail, Pinellas Park, FL 33781.

Take home some toys and books! The Early Learning Center is moving into its new rooms this summer; but first, we need to remove some of the toys and books which are not developmentally appropriate. There are also some extra cupboards and shelving available. Here’s where you come in: the last two weeks of July, you are invited to walk through the rooms and take home anything you like. Donations will be accepted, but are not required or expected.

Mission Trip Update: Saints Peter and Paul in partnership with Glocal Missions are excitedly moving forward with plans for the mission trip to La Ceiba, Honduras. We will be spending 5 days of both community service work, as well as evangelism of different varieties while there. The group will travel to a local village one day, but will mostly be working in La Ceiba while there. The deadline is fast approaching to get everything we need to Glocal Missions so they can solidify the plans. I would ask that you contact me, Kerri Mayra, by July 15th if you are interested or have questions. I can be reached at, community@copperluth.org  or 906-231-1586. I look forward to hearing from you regarding this exciting opportunity.

2018 OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD – 25th ANNIVERSARY: In the Fall we will be kicking off our 2018 Operation Christmas Child (OCC) Mission Project. This will be the 25th anniversary of this globally reaching project, and we would like to set a special goal of donating 250 filled boxes along with $2,500. Last year we achieved a record 226 boxes and $2,065. Our reason for this early reminder is that school supplies are now available at reduced prices at local stores, and we therefore encourage you to pick up some items for this year’s boxes. Examples include; crayons, regular and color pencils, sharpeners, erasers, felt tips, and small notebooks. Again this year International Customs Regulations do not permit toothpaste, candy items, hand sanitizer, or liquid items of any kind. Your help in setting another record for Saints Peter and Paul’s OCC project donations would be greatly appreciated. For further information contact Denise Coates at 296-9561 or bdcoates@wildblue.net, or visit the national project website at www.samaritanspurse.org/occ.

Mission Trip: Your support for the Leinonen mission trips over the years to Northern Manitoba has been very encouraging!  Please pray for them as they prepare to return to their friends in Tadoule Lake to lead a 5 day VBS program, leaving on July 19.  The cost of flights alone is about $2000.  If you would like to financially support this mission trip, use the offering envelopes found in the Narthex.
