TO ALL VISITORS ATTENDING WORSHIP THIS MORNING:  We are thankful that you are worshiping our Lord and Savior Jesus with us.  Part of worshiping our Lord is bringing our financial gifts in the form of offerings to support the ministry of Christ’s church.  As our guest today, please do not feel obligated to give an offering.  We are just thankful that you are here and hope you will continue to worship with us. Want to give your offerings online? Go to www.copperluth.org/give.

HOLY COMMUNION: In preparation to receive the Lord’s Supper, please ask yourself these questions: Have I confessed and repented of my sins? Do I believe that in this Sacrament I am receiving the actual body and blood of Christ, under the bread and wine, into my mouth, for the forgiveness of my sins? Do I share the confession and wish to participate in the unity of this congregation? Will I, with the Lord’s help, amend my sinful life? If you answer, “yes” to all of these questions, please join us for this blessed gift from God for our forgiveness.

If you need a gluten free wafer, please ask the pastor when you are kneeling at the rail.

Church Communications Updates

Make sure to stay up to date with all that’s going on here!

  • Wednesday Morning Weekly Update Email

If you’re not receiving this, please email secretary@copperluth.org to be added to the list. Or, check your spam folder in your email.

  • Church App for mobile phones and tablets (Apple, Android, Windows, Amazon) Go to the app store on your device and search for “Saints Peter and Paul” and you’ll see it.

SEEKING: Director of Hospitality: It takes a significant amount of people to create the hospitable environment we have at our church. In order to keep all these groups and volunteers organized, communicating well, etc, we need to have consistent leadership. Pastor Aaron has created a new volunteer position called the Director of Hospitality and is seeking a willing individual to serve. Please read the volunteer job description at copperluth.org/hospitality and if interested email pastorgehrke@copperluth.org.

PORTALS OF PRAYER:  The July – Sept. Portals of Prayer are located on the information table in the narthex, please take one as you leave today.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS: Members are invited to address the Board of Directors during their regular meetings. The next meeting is on Tuesday, June 19th, at 6:00 pm. Current Board members are Dala Beard, Bob Chalgren, Jed Chrestensen, Maura Leinonen, John Pemberton, Jim Spence, and Judy Zei.

VBS 2018: Vacation Bible School will take place June 25-28 from 6-8pm. To register kids or to sign up as a volunteer go to copperluth.org/vbs2018. The theme – “Shipwrecked: Rescued by Jesus”

VBS STAFF SUPPERS – There is a signup sheet on the table in the Narthex for anyone willing to provide a dish for this year’s VBS Staff  Suppers.  This gives the volunteers and their families a chance to come to the church to eat before VBS activities start and not have to deal with it at home.  Attached to the signup sheet is a copy of last year’s menu, in case you provided something, and wonder what it was.
Please bring your dish to church the day before, if possible, or the morning of, being sure to mark that it’s for the Staff Supper, as well as making sure your name is on your dish, if applicable.  (There will be another sign-up for providing snacks for the kids during VBS.)  We also would appreciate helpers for the suppers, even if it’s for an hour or two, and not have to be all four days.  Contact Jean Pemberton (487-9412), for more information or questions.

Mission Trip: Your support for the Leinonen mission trips over the years to Northern Manitoba has been very encouraging!  Please pray for them as they prepare to return to their friends in Tadoule Lake to lead a 5 day VBS program.  The cost of flights alone is about $2000.  If you would like to financially support this mission trip, use the offering envelopes found in the Narthex.

Mission Trip Informational Session: If you are interested in participating in the mission trip to Honduras but have questions, please attend the mission trip information session on Wednesday, June 20 at 6 pm in the 7th & 8th-grade classroom. Please email all questions to Kerri Mayra at community@copperluth.org prior to the meeting to ensure that all questions are answered.
