TO ALL VISITORS ATTENDING WORSHIP THIS MORNING:  We are thankful that you are worshiping our Lord and Savior Jesus with us.  Part of worshiping our Lord is bringing our financial gifts in the form of offerings to support the ministry of Christ’s church.  As our guest today, please do not feel obligated to give an offering.  We are just thankful that you are here and hope you will continue to worship with us. Want to give your offerings online? Go to www.copperluth.org/give.

HOLY COMMUNION: In preparation to receive the Lord’s Supper, please ask yourself these questions: Have I confessed and repented of my sins? Do I believe that in this Sacrament I am receiving the actual body and blood of Christ, under the bread and wine, into my mouth, for the forgiveness of my sins? Do I share the confession and wish to participate in the unity of this congregation? Will I, with the Lord’s help, amend my sinful life? If you answer, “yes” to all of these questions, please join us for this blessed gift from God for our forgiveness.

If you need a gluten free wafer, please ask the pastor when you are kneeling at the rail.

Church Communications Updates

Make sure to stay up to date with all that’s going on here!

  • Wednesday Morning Weekly Update Email

If you’re not receiving this, please email secretary@copperluth.org to be added to the list. Or, check your spam folder in your email.

  • Church App for mobile phones and tablets (Apple, Android, Windows, Amazon) Go to the app store on your device and search for “Saints Peter and Paul” and you’ll see it.

SEEKING: Director of Hospitality: It takes a significant amount of people to create the hospitable environment we have at our church. In order to keep all these groups and volunteers organized, communicating well, etc, we need to have consistent leadership. Pastor Aaron has created a new volunteer position called the Director of Hospitality and is seeking a willing individual to serve. Please read the volunteer job description at copperluth.org/hospitality and if interested email pastorgehrke@copperluth.org.

DORCAS SUMMER DINNER OUTING – Anyone wishing to join us at our annual dinner outing on Tuesday, June 5, 6:00 p.m. is welcome to do so.  We are going to Freda Cliffs Bed & Breakfast to enjoy a baked chicken dinner, potatoes, salad, homemade rolls, drinks, and Clyde’s famous Chipper Dessert.  Cost is $10.  Please let Jean Pemberton know by May 28 (487-9412).  We will carpool at the church at 5:30 p.m.

Mission Trip to Northern Manitoba: Share the love of Jesus with children through a 5-day VBS program in beautiful Tadoule Lake, in northern Manitoba.  Curriculum and training provided.  Dates are dependent on participant availability, in July.  Learn more at www.lampministry.org or see Maura Leinonen (maura.leinonen@gmail.com) for more information.

Mission Trip to Honduras: I am thrilled to announce that we have solidified a date for our rescheduled mission trip to Honduras. We will be traveling to Honduras on November 7th and returning on November 14th. Details will be provided as they come to light. If you are interested in participating in the mission trip, please send Kerri Mayra an email at community@copperluth.org.

VBS 2018: Vacation Bible School will take place June 25-28 from 6-8pm. To register kids or to sign up as a volunteer go to copperluth.org/vbs2018.  The theme – “Shipwrecked: Rescued by Jesus”

VBS STAFF SUPPERS – There is a signup sheet on the table in the Narthex for anyone willing to provide a dish for this year’s VBS Staff  Suppers.  This gives the volunteers and their families a chance to come to the church to eat before VBS activities start and not have to deal with it at home.  Attached to the signup sheet is a copy of last year’s menu, in case you provided something, and wonder what it was.
Please bring your dish to church the day before, if possible, or the morning of, being sure to mark that it’s for the Staff Supper, as well as making sure your name is on your dish, if applicable.  (There will be another sign-up for providing snacks for the kids during VBS.)  We also would appreciate helpers for the suppers, even if it’s for an hour or two, and not have to be all four days.  Contact Jean Pemberton (487-9412), for more information or questions.

3 G’s: IF You enjoy gardening or just enjoy be in the out of doors with others, come to church and help 3 G’s with beautifying the outside of church.  We meet every Tuesday from 9:00-12:00.  Come for part or all of the time.  We need your help! Questions? Contact Gene Kuiper 288-3399 or genekuip@hotmail.com

Plots available:The Garden: Gardening teams are being sought for plots in The Garden, located to the north of the church building. Teams should consist of at least two individuals who would like to get to know each other better. For example, a long-time member paired with a new-member, visitor, or someone from the community. Plots are available on a first come bases and if there are more teams interested than plots we’ll combine teams. Gardening is a fun way to get to know people, get outside, and enjoy the fruits of your labor.   We’ll make a gardener out of anyone! Gardening experience or a formed team are not needed, if you would like to garden let us know. Contact CG Gilbertson (cgcustomwoodworks@gmail.com) or Judy Granik (judygranik@gmail.com) for more information.
