It has been a little bit of time since I have updated you on what has been going on in Community Outreach. There are several opportunities that I want you to be aware of and invite you to consider.
The community garden is in need of leaders. We have a strong foundation for the garden, but we are seeking at least two individuals who have a passion for gardening and desire to work with families in fellowship. Even if you do not have a background in gardening, but are interested in leading, please let me know.
End of the Year Party
As many of you have seen in Colleen and I’s video, the end of the year party will be happening on May 20th. As part of the party, we will have an opportunity for all of you to get involved in a seed planting project that will benefit the community garden. We will provide the supplies for everyone who wants to plant a seed of different vegetables to take home and care for. We will then announce a day for all of you to return your seedling to be planted in the community garden. I am so excited for all of you to be a part of the community garden project this year and to know that our garden will be growing out of love and care.
I am thrilled to announce that we have solidified a date for our rescheduled mission trip to Honduras. We will be traveling to Honduras on November 7th and return on November 14th. I will provide details as they come to light. If you are interested in participating in the mission trip, please send me an email or give me a call.
