TO ALL VISITORS ATTENDING WORSHIP THIS MORNING:  We are thankful that you are worshiping our Lord and Savior Jesus with us.  Part of worshiping our Lord is bringing our financial gifts in the form of offerings to support the ministry of Christ’s church.  As our guest today, please do not feel obligated to give an offering.  We are just thankful that you are here and hope you will continue to worship with us. Want to give your offerings online? Go to www.copperluth.org/give.

HOLY COMMUNION: In preparation to receive the Lord’s Supper, please ask yourself these questions: Have I confessed and repented of my sins? Do I believe that in this Sacrament I am receiving the actual body and blood of Christ, under the bread and wine, into my mouth, for the forgiveness of my sins? Do I share the confession and wish to participate in the unity of this congregation? Will I, with the Lord’s help, amend my sinful life? If you answer, “yes” to all of these questions, please join us for this blessed gift from God for our forgiveness.

If you need a gluten free wafer, please ask the pastor when you are kneeling at the rail.

BAPTISM of Alivia Pihlaja, daughter of Travis and Alisha Pihlaja will take place this morning at the early service.  Sponsors for Alivia are Jason Carne and Chelsie Stevens. We rejoice with the family as Alivia is welcomed into God’s Kingdom through this sacrament.

ADVENT SERVICES will be held on Wed. Dec. 6th, 13th & 20th. The Holden Evening Prayer will be used. Supper will be provided at 6:00 p.m. with services beginning at 7:00 p.m.

LADIES, SAVE THE DATE: On Sunday, Jan. 14th, 3:00 p.m. at SS. Peter & Paul, a Baby Shower for Laura Huff will be given. Details coming in December. Laura & Marcus have given us a hint as to what they want/need at babylist.com. Questions, phone Dala Beard at 482-6491.

2017 OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD: A very sincere thank you to all in our congregation who contributed to the success of this year’s OCC Mission Project. We also acknowledge the generous outside assistance received from Mike and Marie Cleveland, Thrivent Financial and Walmart. We donated a total of 226 boxes and $2,065, and while we didn’t reach our goal of 250 boxes, overall this was our best year ever. Please pray for the dedicated Samaritans Purse workers, along with the millions of children worldwide who will receive the boxes along with a 12 week follow-up discipleship program. Pray that the kids, their families, and their communities will come to know the Love of Christ …. as a result of a simple gift !!

HANDBELL CHOIR: Have you ever wondered “For Whom The Bell Tolls”? Well it could be you! Sts Peter and Paul is looking to start up a handbell choir and we want you! Any level of experience is welcome. If you are at all interested and potentially free on Tuesday evenings, please contact Sarah Kempin at sekempin@mtu.edu

SENIOR SAINTS – Will hold their next get-together on Thursday, December 14, starting at noon with a luncheon.  The program for the day will again feature the home-schooled boys and girls of our congregation performing a Christmas concert.  We enjoy seeing how they have grown in their musical talent over the past few years.  We invite all the seniors in our midst to join us that day.  Friends are welcome, too!  Contact John or Jean (487-9412), for more information.

Mission Trip Informational Session: If you are interested in participating in the mission trip but have questions, please consider attending the mission trip information session on Monday, December 4 at 5:30. We will be video chatting with David Kim from Glocal Mission, who will be able to answer any questions you have.

YAC Christmas Book Drive: The Youth Advisory Council is hosting a book drive to benefit UP Kids. If you have any new or gently used books that you are willing to donate, there will be a donation box set up on Sundays. UP Kids will then distribute the books to children in need during Christmas, so every child gets a Christmas present.

ANGEL TREE: The annual adopt-a-family angel tree program is underway.  Angel ornaments with gift suggestions will be on a Christmas tree in the narthex.  There will be a table with sign-up sheets next to the tree. When taking an ornament be sure to sign the color-coordinated sheet on the line corresponding to the number on your angel. Please include your telephone number.  This is very important because it helps us check the lists versus gifts received before delivering the gifts to the families.  Tape the ornament to your wrapped package. Please bring your gifts to church by Sunday, December 17. If you have questions, please contact Megan Brueggeman (906-201-1124).
